Good Morning,
I’ve been little absent this week, it’s been a busy few days. But I’m back today with a little of this and that to share with you.
First of all, I found the small china cabinet I have searching for! I found it at Toronto Shabby Chic, through Furnishly, an online collective of local furniture retailers. Did you know that Furnishly had a Toronto arm? I only recently made this amazing discovery. Here is the piece.
I love the fretwork behind the glass and details in the woodwork. Best of all it provides me with extra storage so I can re-organize my kitchen so it’s more functional. Oh and a place to put the antlers I bought last year. Very excited about it.Carole and Sally from Shabby Chic were very easy to deal with. You should definitely check out their other items as well as all the great local furniture on Furnishly.
Next up, this past weekend I attended a western themed 2nd birthday party for friend’s kids. My friend Sam, who is the creative genius behind the amazing Pork, Beef and Chick’Tacular events, always hosts a great theme party. Here are some of the details:
Can I just mention that the horses you see above, (which each little one got to take home), are homemade? Maybe I can get Sam to do a little guest post DIY for those sometime. Very creative.
And speaking of theme parties…this Sunday is 34th birthday. I usually love birthdays but this year, I dunno….I’m just not feeling it. I don’t feel old, nor am I particular concerned about getting old. I think it just makes me acutely aware that time is passing, and much more quickly than I would like. My last birthday feels like yesterday. But on the bright side I’m hosting a co-birthday party on Saturday night with my friend Tory and it’s a masquerade theme!
Cannot wait to share my pictures on Monday!
Check back tomorrow for the last installment of my Switzerland trip pics…the foooood.
XO,

if you are ever bored of your new cabinet it can come stay with me! i love it…
Thank you Lindsey for your kind words and you were an absolute pleasure to deal with too. Sally and I have met so many interesting people through this venture. Would love to keep in touch!
The cabinet looks lovely – and I love the antlers atop the piece. It really sets it off beautifully.

Hi Lindsay
Just wanted to thank you for the very kind mention on your blog. We will keep you updated on our other items we have for sale. We used to do this together but now do it under separate names. Toronto Shabby Chic is Carole and I am The Sassy Stripper. We do however still work on some items together. Sisters never really part. Your new china cabinet looks very swanky with the antlers on top and all of your little touches inside. So glad you are happy with it. I now have a gaping hole in my dining room but I am sure I can find something interesting and pretty to fill it. Besides, that’s all the fun isn’t it. Keep in touch and we will let you know when we have one of our “Elegant garage Sales” in the spring. My garage is next to bursting with new items just waiting for the Stripper Sisters magic paintbrush. Oh, and be sure to pass the word. It was a pleasure doing business with you
