It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Last Week’s Loves post. Not because there hasn’t been a boatload of blogger inspiration out there, I just haven’t had enough time to read through it and document it over my weekends. But today I’m back with some fabulous stuff I’ve found over the past week.
Gemma from the Sweetest Digs posted a round-up of 10 no-carve pumpkin ideas. I’ve loving the ones below (though it looks complicated), and there are other great ones so check it out here.
I have never purchased beauty oil of any kind, but reading this post from vmac&cheese on natural beauty oils is making me think it is a wonder product. She outlines it’s many different uses and tell us how to find (and know you are actually getting) an all natural beauty oil. Worth a read.
When things get stressful I always wish I was one of those people who didn’t get worked up. But I do. One thing that people have suggested is meditation. I’ve always found it difficult but I admit I’ve never really given it a good effort. Then this post on Design Sponge featuring 5 tips for meditating this week reminded me that I need to give it another try.
I’m sure you all have been following the controversy with Martha Stewart and her Bloggers are not experts comment in her Bloomberg.com video this week. I personally think that as usual Martha chose a less than stellar delivery and tact, but I assume she was pointing out issue with credit and authenticity in blogging, which I agree can be a problem. However, it was delivered in such a disrespectful way and lumped all bloggers into this “non-expert” or unqualified category which isn’t fair or accurate. Thea from Time with Thea posted a great open letter to Martha Stewart on her blog this week which included the great quote by James Barber below. Definitely worth reading, she makes some great points.
Another great post this week from Life Over Easy about being more positive. She shared her quest to be more positive and the Site Upworthy.com which is a forum for all good things – good news, good stories, good karma. As someone who struggles with positivity at times, this is a site I need to visit more often as well.
Have a great week!
