Gorgeous Barn Conversion by Josephine Interior Design

Good Morning,

Today I’m sharing a fabulous barn conversion in Burgundy, France, designed by Paris-based Josephine Interior Design.  This space is pretty, vintage, modern, quirky, and has a cool history to boot.  The best kind of eclectic. This woman has a great talent for finding fabulous unexpected pieces of art and furniture and using them in all the right places. As I have mentioned before about church conversion, it is hard to make conversions seem “homey” as they can be very stark to start, but this is another example of how to do it right.  I think you are going to enjoy it…

Kind of awesome, huh?

Have a great day!

Barns and Blogpodium

Good Morning Sunshine….

What a great week of weather we are having here in Toronto.  Hot, clear and totally uncharacteristic of May in Ontario, but I’m not complaining.  Last night I spent the evening with Barbara of hodge:podge, Nancy of Marcus Design and Beatrice of A Crafty Bee who are in town for Blogpodium tomorrow!  It was so nice to get to know them a little better, and they are just as nice in person as they seem on their blogs.

Today I’m featuring a great barn conversion by Steven Gambrel that I came across on the Southern Living website.  It’s pretty great….

I love the use of unexpected colour combined with rustic/natural elements like leather and wood. Such a cozy looking space!

I cannot believe that Blogpodium is finally here. I will have lots to share next week about it.  Can’t wait to see/meet everyone who is attending!
