Last Week’s Loves – July 20th to 26th

Good Morning!

In my quest to stop being a craptastic blogger, I decided that this week I should get back to my Last Week’s Loves Monday posts where I always find great inspiration from the talented people I follow.  I found a few gems in my blog travels this week, and I hope you will enjoy these posts as much as I did!

1. Gorgeous post from This is Glamorous featuring the Bar Palladio in Jaipur, India.  An explosion of colour and decadence combining Indian and Italian design.  You can see and read more about it here.

2.  Love the pretty ceramics by Robert Gordon featured on Decor 8.  See more of his work here.

3. Looking at this picture you might think this is an ordinary 50’s motel (which I have an affinity for as you an see in this post). But if you check out this post from Poppytalk, you will see that Masion Jolon, a  Scandinavian-style B&B near Aix-en-Provence, Maison Jalon is anything but ordinary.  You will want to stay here.

4. It’s that time of year where the heat and humidity have kicked in.  I promised myself during this terrible winter we just had that would not complain about the heat this year.  I’m doing my best to enjoy it. But hydration is key, and luckily Camille Styles did a round-up of great water bottles this week.  You can see them all, here.

5. Camille Styles also posted ‘What your pinterest board says about you”.  I fit into many of these categories, which I suppose makes me multifaceted….or insane.  Not sure which.

Have a great week!

Last Week’s Loves: May 27th to June 2nd, 2013

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  Mine was filled with toddler birthday parties and a night out on Saturday with some friends. Since we are (alas) at Monday again, here are some of the things that caught my eye in the blog world this past week.

This gorgeous summer home converted from a 17th century mill, was featured on SF Girl by Bay this week. The home belongs to ludovica and roberto palomba, the acclaimed italian designers duo and is located in Salento, Italy. I would be happy to spend some down time is this space. (Although, I would definitely would have a huge steam cleaning bill with all that white, as I tend to spill things)! You can see more photos here.

Decor8 featured a post by Raina Kattelson from A Stylist’s Life where she gave some tips on how to get the most out of your trip to the Flea Market.  Good timing with all the outdoor flea markets in full swing for the summer.

I love this very simple DIY for these watercolour bud blocks that I found here on Design Sponge in a post by Mandy Pellegrin.  Love the colours they chose too!

If you haven’t seen the beautiful art of YangYang Pan yet you need to.  I discovered her art at the One of Kind Show and her work is gorgeous.  Both my Mom and I were at her booth flipping through her prints for quite a while. That is why I was so excited to see that my friend Vanessa over at Decor Happy is doing a fabulous giveaway for a print from this crazy-talented artist.  Seriously, get your booty over there and enter…I mean you can’t win if you don’t enter right?

Have a great Monday everyone!

Last Week’s Loves – May 20th to 26th, 2013

Good Morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I haven’t posted a Last Week’s Loves in a few weeks so I thought I’d get back on it this week.  Here are some posts that caught my attention from last week.

On of Creature Comforts daily finds this week featured these Decorative Wooden Berry Baskets from Shop Sweet Lulu.  They are so cute and only $2.00. They also would make a great DIY if you happen to have any extras lying around after berry season.

I love a good structured capri for spring/summer, but I had never though of pairing them with a comfy t-shirt. That is until this post on Coco + Kelley about this trend.  I’m not sure if I can pull it off…I definitely don’t have nearly enough super cool t-shirts…but I’m digging the look nonetheless.

Brittany over at My Daily Randomness posted the reveal of her raised garden beds as part of “Project Grow our Own Food”.  I’m so impressed with this initiative, and the bed looks awesome!  You can see more on how they built it here.

The Pretty Purveyor introduced me to Rablabs New York in this post last week. These gorgeous home accessories are from made of agate and crystal and are trimmed in pure gold and sterling silver.  How gorgeous are these Kiva platters?

In this post, Design Sponge posted a great round-up of 10 great textile designers from the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), which included this very cool modern NYC toile design byErcol and Timorous Beasties. So fun.

Have a great day!
